Adjustable, aspherical lens
This is an adjustable lens for aspherical correction. Andres VanHooydonck, Karolien Verbraeken and I were assigned to find a technical solution to make adjustable eyeglasses for people with astigmatism. Far- and nearsighted people need spherical lenses to correct their vision in all directions. Astigmatism is when people have cilindershaped cornea and they need correction in just one direction. The curvature of our lens can be adjusted by tightening the screw on the side.
